The Light Development XML Package provides a simple and universal way to read and write XML as well as to display and edit XML structures and content.

The package does not provide DOM or DTD support nor does it feature XML validation. It focuses on basics which is why it has an extremely small footprint of only 16 KB for its class binaries.

Whenever an own solution requires persistent storage and retrieval of objects in XML format the Light Development XML package takes away the need to invent the core functionality of XML parsing, reading and writing without the requirement to learn and implement a big XML framework or to add hughe code libraries to own solutions.

Being used in other Light Development products and solutions too it can be added to arbitrary solutions requiring XML parsing. The package is capable to handle even large amounts of XML data as it does not store parsed data. It allows to process XML on the fly because it parses data fast and triggers handler methods as the parse process runs.
